In controversial circumstances, Trikki D has once again retained the PCW National Championship title after his main event match with Danny Psycho went to a 20-minute time limit draw. The match which had the entire audience on their feet was all but over after Psycho hit his signature finishing manoeuvre on Trikki D, only for the bell to ring as the referee made the first count.
Psycho, visibly devastated and fuming, demanded his shot at the National Championship at Carnage against Trikki D in an iron man match. Danny Psycho forced Trikki to accept, and next month the contract will be signed. PLUS, in a PCW first, Danny Psycho will choose the opponent and stipulation for Trikki D, and Trikki D will choose the opponent and stipulation for Danny Psycho at PCW Countdown in Rowville on August 6th.
Earlier in the night Jay Webster came to the rescue of an innocent spectator who was attacked by the Alliance of Violence. Webster challenged TAOV to a tag-team match with his partner Adam Brooks for later in the night. As Jay Webster made his way to the ring with manager Benny English, footage played on the big screen showing Adam Brooks was viciously attacked by the TAOV moments ago. Webster was left to fend for himself was no match for the full strength team of Sinister & The Enforcer. Following the match, Webster was power-bombed through a table on the outside from inside the ring.
Chris Trance faced his handpicked opponent Mr. Big whilst continuing to proclaim himself as State Champion. Following the match, Alberto Bravo made a surprise appearance reclaiming his title, and issuing an open challenge to either Hero or Trance to face him in a genuine State title match. Surprisingly, Hero was the one who accepted. Alberto gained victory, however once again Trance stole the State Title during the match. Following the match, Alberto demanded his title belt back otherwise he would belt Hero with a Singapore Cain. Trance couldn’t come to terms with giving back the belt, and left Hero to the beating. Hero, who needed assistance to exit the ring, told Baron Valiant that ‘he quits’.
